“They say there is a doorway from heart to heart, but what is the use of a door when there are no walls?”

The whole shebang lasts from the 11th of September and last call is on the 15th. We would love you to be here for the whole time. But if you are like those weird burners that come for the fire and leave before the temple, the wedding itself is Friday the 13th.
When should guests arrive?
As we said, all guests are welcome to every single day of events. This is a once in a lifetime chance to spend time with the people we love, so arriving Wednesday, September 11th, to enjoy it ALL would make us very happy.
What will the weather be like?
During the day, the high can be around 23° (71F) & the lows in the evening around 10° (51F). We advise bringing a coat as it will get a little chilly in the evening.
How do we get to the Loire Valley in France?
Please see the Locations and Locale tab for all details. And feel free to reach out to us with any questions that are not answered about travel.
Where should we stay?
Some guests will be staying at the chateau while others will be staying in surrounding chateaus, bed and breakfasts hotels and airbnbs. There are lots of lovely airbnbs in the surrounding villages, all about 10-15 min away from the chateau. Grand Pressigny, Preuilly, Petit Pressigny, Obterre.
Yourselves, whatever talismans, medications, charms and books you think you will need, some shoes you can dance in (and some you can get lost in the woods in). But mainly yourselves.
Are children invited?
While we love your little nuggets, this is an adults only wedding and reception. If you find that they are with you on this European adventure, all is well. There will be days of events that we welcome children and family, in fact there might be activities especially for them
Can I bring a date or +1?
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate or include +1s. However if they are super cool get in touch.
What happens on the days around the Wedding?
There will be activities, distractions, company and tunes. Lightly organised and sprinkled with relaxed expectations and suprises.
What is the dress code and wedding vibe?
Chateau Chic. What does that mean, Ashley? Elegant, ethereal, formal, glamorous. Floor length gowns preferred for woman and dapper suits or tux for the fellas. I’m extra, so yall should feel free to be extra too! Because when else will you be galavanting around a chateau in France with friends?
Vibes, or as they say in France ‘Ambience’
Tim here, note that Ashley says ‘galavanting’ so think things you could wear at a festival. Formal enough for photos, but enough faded freedom to lie in a meadow. The surrounds are decaying decadence with a pretty deep infusion of Bohemian Dandies.
Keep in mind, this is the country side of France, so don’t be alarmed by the beautifully large fields, small quiet roads, and few and far between shops, bars and restaurants.
